What are some changes to make right out of the box?
Or could someone point to the page? I know I saw it somewhere.
Never owned a Chinesium saw, but some of the clones look interesting.
Personally i go through everything to make sure fasteners are tight and no intake or seal leaks
i just spray brake cleaner while they are running to see if there's any fluctuations.
i haven't found any issues at all in the
1 g395 2 g288s 1 g272 1 g372xp 1g372xt
I bought recently actually they all had some form of loctite on them.
i just swapped out the extremely short pull ropes on the 288s and 272 for some reason
i greased the clutch bearings and have been running them.
they've all ran and oiled good just adjusted the carbs for the elevation here.

Nevermind I just realized you were taking about XT….
The orange one is a lot more expensive…. Wonder why.
I for some reason do not like the blue at all.

Do they make a XT kit?
The blue isn't my favorite
they only had the orange g288 for 109.00 the same price as the blue version.
Otherwise the blue is cheapest on the 70cc saws
154.00 shipped is a lot of saw for cheap.

Got my 450 clone in front China yesterday.....no idea why they call it a 382....
Fired on the second pull.
I'm into it for just under $175 including the 20" bar and new x-cut chain.
Planning to run it in the next few days.View attachment 410871View attachment 410872View attachment 410873
I'm baffled why they introduced those and the ms170 ms250 clones instead of the much more popular 262xp or 346xp
But those 435,440,450s were very successful also at the box stores
I like those colors I'd like to have a g288 like that
Maybe next year when they do another flash sale.
It's odd they don't even offer orange g272s

Just a random purchase but this one tested more than good. For this price it is a bargain.
My short, first test.

Agreed, the consumer models seem pointless to me also.

I just liked the way it looks and it was cheap. I've sold a half dozen different model clones at a local auction and I always make a few bucks, even after running a few tanks through the saws, so I'm not risking much if any money I figure.

The 262 & 346 clones would be a great sellers I'd bet.

Third generation of machinery developed on the eighth day of the second month.....or the second day of the eighth month :icon_popcorn:
Lol.
No question about it, the Chinese are shooting in the dark when it comes to advertising for our market....some of the stuff they come up with is quite amusing.....imo.

That 395 keeps tempting me. I keep telling myself that a 61 year old man with a bad back, bad shoulder and bad wrist doesn't need a 395, especially since I built a 660 kit 4 years ago for milling and haven't milled the first board yet. I don't know how long I can keep talking myself out of it but I'm trying.

I'm 53 and didn't need it i can do everything with a ported 266xp
I just like messing with them
Cheap fun.
I used to rebuild oem saws but
*B-S.... I'm not paying 350.00 for builder's
So i get the china stuff to use up all the spare parts I've accumulated since the 1980s

Yeah, I like messing with them too, that's one of my problems. I mess with them more than I use them. There are many other things I should be devoting my time and money towards. It's an addiction for sure.
