Ended up swapping pistons, I went with a 272... I had to remove .080" from the Squish and .020" from the piston... squish is set at .028". The weight savings from the stock piston to this newer Dukes 272 was substantial... I have about .008" of free porting... i wish these Dukes 272 piston exhaust skirts were .030" to .040" longer, then I'd like it a bit more... major down side of this swap, the crown of the piston isn't flush with the exhaust floor... so I had to try and reduce the exhaust obstructions a little more... the saw runs pretty good, it's definitely a candidate for a long bar.
