I was just watching part 2 and about at 30 minutes in he goes into why the ends of chainsaw mill boards get crooked or have varying thickness. IIRC, someone was asking about this recently, perhaps it was somewhere else.

It’s amazing what this guy has been able to build with boards he’s milled using a 261 and a Granberg small log mill. Granted, he’s not milling giant slabs, mostly construction lumber, a testament to the quality of the saw IMO.

Those homemade rails look just right. I'm sure you can make a nice first cut with the Granberg but they do look a bit delicate.
