I have several cracked intake blocks
You seen a slow saw then. Lol. As I was playing with them I noticed for me and running a 36" bar and using then to noodle I really like the 103 exhaust height. I now they would be faster at 100 but man O man. And your right. Stock for stock. The 394 is stronger especially if ya set the squish. If they only didn't have that stupid outboard clutch. Lmao!I've seen some of the 94's you built Carl and they look strong, there both a saw that loves porting even though a 394 is the only saw I've ever used that I could live with stock. Really good saws.
I build and own 066's and occasionally still cut timber but I only cut down with my 395.
Milling the clutch has a ton of heat. The outboard keeps it out of the case and seals more. What's the reason for liking one style of clutch more than the other?

I see what you did there !!!eye candy
It takes a very long time for even the low top filter to even get a little dirt on it. The air injection works way better on the 394 than others, the 346 doesn't work nearly as well.My 94 is a high top but I have the low top setup, I do like the high better, love the big filter.
I converted mine over to the hd filter a year ago. Milled a bunch on top of my usual firewood gettin'. You could easily mistake my filter for a new one. It has been by far the best functioning air injection system I've owned.I'm shocked at how long the filter stays clean.
