That's funny Mike all this senseless dribble coerced me into breaking one of mine out this weekend, I blocked/quartered down some big live oak rounds that need to go on the splitter next week!!!!

I bought a new 394 low top and it came with a champion plug from the factory. It eventually cracked and would not restart hot.

I have a nice pair of 394's; one formerly Mr Lee's. I really like both of them but will agree with others, a 37" bar on an alaskan at 85* is no time to be tugging on a recoil. I'll try an NGK but I think it has more to do with heat soak than anything. I'm fairly certain at this point it's had NGK, Champion, Bosch, etc in it.

This weekend. 394 base gasket delete, dual port muffler, 3/8-119DL chain, square skip.

I really wish I could find a nos/mint 390xpg but I checked with Spike and was too late to the party.

Yep. Best running one I ever had for a stock one. Check with Julian on here for the 404 chain. He's hooked me up one some.
