And then the bearing pockets...
...and intake boots tearing.
And then the bearing pockets...
My vote is no! Nice broad powerband is what I like. If I want it peaky I’ll raise the exhaust! So now I have another 2159…needs a crank. Stuffers or no? I like torque.
Depends. @Duke ThieroffAny long term experience with the aftermarket 357 style/359 bore cylinder ported?
And porous crankcase castings causing air leaks on new powerheads, yea I'm glad not to be working at a dolmar dealer now....and intake boots tearing.
That’s like short-dicking a girl and having to ask a buddy for helpIf I want it peaky I’ll raise the exhaust!
I’ve run them both ways, don’t notice a huge difference honestly. I do feel that stuffers do potentially block mix from the bearings, I think it may contribute to bearing failure on the 550’s and 562’s. I avoid them when possible, you do you! That’s like short-dicking a girl and having to ask a buddy for help
61cc56.5 cc vs. what is the 6100? Fair fight?
I think stroke becomes the bigger factor there for the most part. 365 special or even 362 will put a hurting on a strong 6100.What’s interesting to me is that as engine size decreases, 5ccs makes more difference. Duh, ratio… My 357 is “only” 5ccs bigger than my ex 2252 but it has a lot more snort. The 6100 is 5ccs bigger than the 357 and has more grunt but not a ton more.
I prefer the 2165 & 2163 varieties, how do they compare?I think stroke becomes the bigger factor there for the most part. 365 special or even 362 will put a hurting on a strong 6100.
Twice as fast if you count all the variablesI prefer the 2165 & 2163 varieties, how do they compare?
Poster asked 357 vs 359 vs 6100. I just gave my opinionMy personal experience is the ported 357 won't touch the ported 6100 for performance.
