On a 19" White Oak log my AWOL 359 got it done in a little over 12 sec. Stock 6100, a little over 16, and my stock 036 Pro 19 sec.
6100 is a very smooth saw albeit seems porky like others noted. Sips fuel and it's air filter system is one of the best.

That’s like short-dicking a girl and having to ask a buddy for help
I’ve run them both ways, don’t notice a huge difference honestly. I do feel that stuffers do potentially block mix from the bearings, I think it may contribute to bearing failure on the 550’s and 562’s. I avoid them when possible, you do you!

My personal experience is the ported 357 won't touch the ported 6100 for performance.

What’s interesting to me is that as engine size decreases, 5ccs makes more difference. Duh, ratio… My 357 is “only” 5ccs bigger than my ex 2252 but it has a lot more snort. The 6100 is 5ccs bigger than the 357 and has more grunt but not a ton more.

I think stroke becomes the bigger factor there for the most part. 365 special or even 362 will put a hurting on a strong 6100.

Any long term experience with the aftermarket 357 style/359 bore cylinder ported?

My first saw is a 2159. I installed a cylinder that fits that description. Mine is a hyway. Seems like the more I tweeked it the better it got. I have had several saws over the years and ported many of them (for myself). That saw gained more than any other and still runs great today. May not be the best, prettiest, lightest ect., but it is my favorite. No plating issues and at one point it was running 245psi. Exhaust was raised but it still pumps 225
