What oil is it?Have over 12,000 miles on the engine oil right now. Had it analyzed and they found that all the parameters were well within safe levels. Told me to keep running as-is and recheck in 6,000 miles. 392,000+ miles on the truck now. I love this truck.
I want to be clear that I made the above post more so to show how well the Cummins engine has been, and not to brag on the oil. However, since you asked, it’s Amsoil synthetic. What oil is it?
Correct. Signature Series 15w40.Most likely some flavor of amsoil, if I was to wager a bet.
Good looking truck. Really like the color. Not a ram or old so delete if you want but I saw people posting truck pics so I thought I’d join the fun.View attachment 385760

I replaced mine on my ‘99 because of the same fuel leak. Easy peasy.Helpful tip for fookin 98.5 owners, if your truck starts puking fuel everywhere don't immediately think the filter housing cap is busted, check your fuel heater. I've spent 2 days worrying and hunting for a crack on my lid piece just to discover the heater sealing d-ring is cracked. I found a close enough one at work, 71 cents for 3 of them.
Funny, all the stupid pcm does is read the sensors and tell the gauges what to do.My 95 has a dead pcm and still drives down the road making money. While buddies have more into chasing DEF issues on 6.7 fords then I bought my truck for, something to be said about simplicity
