Thanks, I appreciate it, it was a lot of fun finding all the parts and trying to make it look it's best.

Very nice job sir, and I think it tells the tale that if someone still wants to fix up one of these wonderful saws that it still can be done.

Yours looks beautiful as well! These 2 series are just a pleasure to work on I think, my favorite series saws.

Thanks and yes they are very nice to work on, great saws for the beginner to start out with. Also the 51/55 are very similar and also a great saw for the person just starting out to learn on, unlike the 254 are very easy to get parts for. And if messed with a little, run and cut darn well.

Took some outside pics today. I like it even more now than I thought I would, this one goes on the NFS list.

The saw looks really good - like new! You did an excellent job on that cosmetic resto. I need to get those outside felling spikes like you have.

It came from a 55 rancher, but it fits the shape of the inner spike perfectly and bolts right on, I did drill a small hole in it and the clutch cover to use a small screw to attach it with, drives me crazy when I take the clutchcover off and the spike falls wherever.

Excellent work, both of you guys :)

Only trouble is now I'm starting to feel like a doink for not seeking out good paint for my 394 cases when I overhauled it.. lol!

I've used the restolium on a 281. It looked ok for my standards. It's just a work saw, not a trophy.
