Ok so I'm clearing a path for a new service over on a farm this evening and there's a big tulip poplar thats coming down, I'm going to do the work in trade for the logs if all goes right. I may have a nice load of those logs for the GTG from this evening. Also got to drop a handful of 16-20" DBH trees at another property that the guys gonna give me and load them in the trailer. So I'm hoping to have some logs to come down.

Absolutely brother! I'm just hoping he'll part with the poplar logs. If you guys really wanted to do any racing, we could use the chainsaw mill and make a few cants early Friday morning down there...

Iirc its 10”. It would need a threaded headstock for a chuck setup. I picked this from PaDan and was going to get it going for Wifey but Dan offered the lathe he had and it is ready to boogie.

I’ll bring the griddle and some breakfast sammich stuff for Friday morning if anyone else is around. And I’ll do your hash stuff Saturday morning

I have been pretty vague and informal in the past. So, for the sake of planning, let’s say Saturday 0800 hash, eggs, toast. Shut down the noise from 1400-1600 for main “meal” and those staying for the evening can pick their way through the leftovers to keep from drinking on an empty stomach
