What a fantastic weekend it was! I apologize for no updates as the service waay back in "the holler" wasn't too good. Joe and I, as well as Rick and all the guys at the sportsman's club are all super appreciative and in awe of the work that took place there. All in the name of fun! We had a blast running saws, climbing and felling some troublesome trees, eating great food, sharing fun stories and bonding of rhe brother/sisterhood of all that is FHC and OPE while getting around 12-13 full cord of wood cut, split, and almost all stacked up in the woodshed! The Sportsmen club was absolutely amazed with what got done, and I think they're anxious for us to do it again!

Many thanks to all who visited with us, worked their tails off, donated food, donated to the raffle, ate and enjoyed the fellowship with us. We dedicated the festivities to the memory of Kenis @DexterDay and his family, with a dinnertime prayer offered up by FHC's Walt.

Thank you all again from our families to yours! We certainly hope to make it bigger and better for next year!

I would like to thank everyone for coming to our GTG! It was a total success and they would love to have us back again next year.

As Scotty said we did get alot of wood processed.
10 1/2 cords are stacked in the shed.

@SBK1980 brought some of his beautiful hand forged knives which he sold 7 of them at the GTG. One as I said he donated to the raffle which John Wargo of Pittsburgh was the lucky winner.
The food was awesome as always and ate way too much as always but had a great time!
I'd like to thank everyone who helped out and donated to the raffle. We raised $490 which I returned to the club for allowing us to have the GTG at that beautiful place! The fellowship and workmanship was top notch.

@eatonpcat the peppeoni rolls that your wife made were outstanding.

The club said that if we do this yearly they are going to be building another shed for wood.

When I was back at the club today finishing cleaning up I was talking to Sarah (Rick the caretakers wife) and I asked her how she thought everything went. She was telling me that when they have events back here that they can be uncomfortable sometimes with the people in the groups.

She said that this was possibly the best group that she's had back here and welcomes anyone who wants to come back with open arms. She couldn't believe how kind and respectful that everyone was.

Everyone said that they hope that we make this a yearly thing. I said you can bet on it.

That's just a testament of all the fine people that belong to this organization!

I hope to make it next year, but this year I spent time with some family members and 3 folks from Scouts up at my Cabin in the Catskills. A total of 9 spent the night!

We ran ATVs, hiked, shot (rifles, shotguns and handguns), cut, split and stacked wood and ate well.
