I agree. His YouTube channel documenting saw tear downs and testing and troubleshooting issues proves how transparent and honest he is. Even if he makes a mistake, he’ll make a whole video documenting it so others don’t make the same mistake. I wouldn’t hesitate to disagree on T.Roller’s opinion of MattyO.

The issue comes down to MattyO saying “as is” means exactly that. After all the s-word that went down with Jason JMSsaws selling a “ported saw” which was often of poor workmanship and the saw turned into a grenade, the sponsors are scared of people being able to sell garbage online.

Not that Matt was selling garbage, just I think he was singled out unfairly.

Speaking of Poulans...
If anyone is into this sort of thing, I have a chit ton of older, small/medium Poulan and Craftsman variants that I could bring a few of along and I'd let go cheap (like $20-50, maybe 75 for the nicer 60-70cc runners).
Most but not all are reasonably clean runners and include a usable bar/chain.

Examples would include but are not limited to;

Micros in red and green, s25da's, 306a/sa's in green and a red, a smoked 361, 245a's, 3400's in green and grey, a 3.7 in red, 2.8/2800's in grey...

Unfortunately this sort of stuff quickly gets out of reasonable $ range when shipping is required so this is an opportune way of dealing with my over-accumulation.

Space is limited, as are quantities obviously...

I heard @T.Roller started some beef against him for posting wanting to flip a saw “as is” with no warranty. Since T.Roller is friends with Randy Mastermind and Jon1212, the sponsors sided with T.Roller’s opinion that MattyO was a “shady MF’er”, so he stopped posting. He still sells his crank case assembly tools, still has his YouTube channel, still buys and sells and ports saws, still fixes saws for the locals in CT, just isn’t going to take s-word lying down from people and can’t stand the attitude here.

Guess I missed all that, I'm a bit out of the loop sometimes...

Actually, Matty told me that if I didn't ban David, he would never post here again. I don't respond to ultimatums very well.

As far as a selling a saw that you, me, or anyone else rebuilds....and then tries to say that they will not stand behind it in any way, shape, or form will not fly here. If it was a saw that he had not rebuilt then selling it "as it" would be a OK, but that was not the case.

I'll second that.

I'll leave you all with this.......Matt and I get along just fine even after this mess. I agree that he is a good guy.

Bill, I'll could do a green 3400. For no particular reason I don't have any Poulans. Very few ever come in the shop. I should have one of the "other American" brand saws besides the more common Macs and Homelites.

In that case I'll bring a 245a along too, no antivibe but among the lightest 70cc class saws going, then or now I believe.
Yet another poulan classic.
And I'd be remiss if I didn't stick you with, uh I mean include, another classic; an s25da, Poulans 200t.
