Did you paint or dye the covers.

Btw. Looking good, and happy waiting for the vid. :zpong:

I dyed with black clothing dye. Got the idea from a couple of fellas on the site. @huskihl

If you think about doing it the water has to be pretty darn hot. Basically a low boil.

A little vinegar or salt added to the pot helps set the color in the plastic as well.

EDIT: yes, vids to come.

I've never added anything but dye. If it simmers for 2 hours it'll go maybe 1/3 of the way through from each side. I'd bet at 3 or 4 hours it'll be one solid color. I do it on the turkey fryer in the garage. Once it barely starts to boil I turn it down. I slightly melted the 1st piece I tried with the flame too high. It just needs to be steaming a little

This saw is using an 044 intake boot. Throttle response with the 194 carb should be ok, but not like with the smaller boot.

This is another dual purpose build. An 044 carb can be swapped in and the saw can be turned up for fun.

This is my own 024 with a 44mm P&C and an 044 carb/boot

To each their own. I personally absolutely love the screamin’ demon type of saw. Also very fond of firewood less than 8 inches in diameter. Same fire with less back pain...

Lol. I hear you.
Dan and I were at a GTG. He tuned my MOFO 026 to right where it was on the edge. We looked at each other 2 stroking at 16600. [emoji106]
I generally run it at 14700 or so. I err on the fat side. Lol

We an't got a 2x like button. If we did I’d like to push this button twice...or 5x :)

A saw with xtra XTRA MOFO :zpong:

What’s not to like about that...:) :borra2:
