Got this load this morning. Would have got a little more but old gramps decided to come for a drive out and burried his truck lol. I pulled him out then just finished loading what i had cut so far and got out of ther befor it got any softer.

@Wolverine I was reading an old thread where you were turning some maple scrounge on the lathe. I've got some apples to come down and was wondering if you were interested in taking any for wood working. 20190330_175005.jpgI did this one last summer before i knew better. All firewood. Biggest apple I've seen.

@Wolverine I was reading an old thread where you were turning some maple scrounge on the lathe. I've got some apples to come down and was wondering if you were interested in taking any for wood working. View attachment 223596I did this one last summer before i knew better. All firewood. Biggest apple I've seen.

Between the woodworkers and the smokers, shouldn't be a whole lot of firewood in an apple tree!

I offered it to people and no one wanted it. So theres a bunch of apple firewood on my racks for next year.

You're going to have a good smelling fire! Throw some cherry on there too and I couldn't stand to be around it if I hadn't eaten that day!

I'll pass. The maple I was turning was very very curly! Definitely use some of it for cookin'!
