Cases split, bearings and seals out, new bearings and seal kit on the way (thanks to a very generous forum member). One bearing had some rough spots as you spun it. Good thing here is that this new saw will have new bearings and seals along with a NIB P&C.

More buggered stuff too .......

I guess he is too busy not to use a impact on every fastener.

If everyone thinks all parts from china are junk. All should stop driving their cars. Name a major manufacturer that does not spec parts and take lowest bidder. China is where auto market is.

Proof is in the pudding with some of these saw parts...some just do not hold up well compared to oem.

True but if your charged the oem premium you should get it.

And I have zero qualms about using Chinese parts as long as it the chinese price I'm paying.

I understand but it's the fact that he lied to me and said he uses nachi bearings...

I don't care if the parts are made in Guam. If the quality is there and the parts holdup under testing in the real world. Home made for me is expensive an sometimes non existent. OEM has it issues with quality control. They strive to fix it most times. We are the voice for the AM industry. It's about time they started listening. Don't bet on them changing much very fast. Direct field to factory feedback is what will change this. The middle men sell parts and make money. Most could give two *f-words about you or parts longevity, sad but true. Look how long it took to get an AM 064 redesign. These guy took it to them not the other way around.

If the specs were posted for some of the actual am parts vs oem you might be surprised as a whole view how they compare. The materials used to produce the parts is the big difference. You get what you pay for. Finishing quality control must do better in am parts.

The Garbage Motor Company. I worked for GM from 07-09, the horror stories I can tell...
You must have missed the soft cam 5.oL 305 Chevy puke motors. They were all just grand from 77' to 9'. Thin crack prone V8 heads from 75-9 was the other great accomplishment. What about the glorious tuned port injection system of the 80's Z28? Should I stop now?
