So I should go through the trouble to take the 198 off my 350 and fit it to my 346 build I'm working on. What about the primer bulbs?

If ya want to, but it's not that big a deal. No huge gains, but I feel it's worth doin. Can't use the purge bulb though.

Set at 14,400
Seems to run pretty well, only had a .325 x8 rim to install, think it would be a bit quicker with a 7.

May try 3/8x7 sometime. I think it is a good bit stronger than the last one I built.

Sounded good! I think you will like the results if you tried 3/8 chain. 325 8 pin is same size as a 3/8 7 pin.

Pushing hard to test the power band/clutch. Did pretty well imo.

Trying to find the fastest cut pressure.

Fresh off the grinder stihl .325 rs 13" bar,cherry log cut last year.

I am very pleased with the results.

Now I just gotta find a 16/18" 3/8 k095 and/or find someone to square file a .325 chain

It was over 230 the first time round. Will test it again after some more run time.

It was bout 40* yesterday, tune idle and high side never moved more than 100 rpm. Put 2 full tanks through , with 5/7 back to back cuts 18" bar buried in a hard maple log.

I was expecting that yesterday,

But how much is hot?

This thing has me a bit baffled. Ebay walbro 198, no mods with the blue diaphragm. ??
1 turn out on low 7/8 on the high side. Idles great.

Must be a fluke...

Nope, just anerobic sealer.

So I went an got a 16" 3/8 bar and 3/8x7 rim, along with a brand new loop of rs.

Same log, it dropped to 11,300-11,900 holding steady light pressure. The saw could be dropped down to 10k much easier, still pulling well but not the same. Holds about the same in a noodling cut as long as you are not trying to rip the handle off.
The new rs was rather grabby.

With the .325 x8 in the other vid clip the saw holds roughly 1k more rpm in the cut. Even with the 18" bar noodling.

I need to get a .325x7 rim and try again.

Gotta find another test log first.

Still not sold on the 3/8 chain on a 50cc saw.
