So I went an got a 16" 3/8 bar and 3/8x7 rim, along with a brand new loop of rs.
Same log, it dropped to 11,300-11,900 holding steady light pressure. The saw could be dropped down to 10k much easier, still pulling well but not the same. Holds about the same in a noodling cut as long as you are not trying to rip the handle off.
The new rs was rather grabby.
With the .325 x8 in the other vid clip the saw holds roughly 1k more rpm in the cut. Even with the 18" bar noodling.
I need to get a .325x7 rim and try again.
Gotta find another test log first.
Still not sold on the 3/8 chain on a 50cc saw.
