I broke down today and bought a 5 piece set of craftsman wrenches, 1" and up. I could of tried a brand you guys have been talking about but it would have been an online purchase. No one sells wrenches near me larger than 1" other than harbor freight and Sears. I bought a 6 piece set from HF but they were too big, started at 1-3/8 and up. They didn't have much of a choice between 1" and 1-3/8 when I was looking at them for some reason. Funny thing was the 5 piece craftsman were the same price as the 6 piece HF... I noticed the tool selection at Sears for craftsman seems to be dwindling.

It's unfortunate, the craftsman brand use to stand for something; made in the USA, but not any more. At this point it's equivalent to buying them at HF but, the craftsman have a nicer finish. I'd hate to see what an American made 5 piece wrench set costs (1" and up).

The Asians forge better steels than America now days anyways. Our country has sold out its manufacturing base. Not all things made in the USA are superior anymore. As long as the tool has a lifetime warrantee it's probably worth buying anymore.
