The one and only reason I have this is because it was a once in a lifetime CL deal. I couldnt justify the price of a new snap on box.

There's a tool truck comes around the shop, he sells gearwrench among others. They have a few BOGO things every month. I like the stuff for the price. I know it's made in Taiwan but they stand behind the warranty.

I got a set of their six point combination wrenches up to 1" for 30 some dollars on sale
Local jobber had the same deal. they got stuck with a bunch of fractional sets. Seems everyone wanted metric, fractional, not so much. They marked the fractional sets down to $20. A friend of mine bought 2-3 sets. I picked up a set too. I already had metrics, short and long but not fractional.

I've got a buddy who is a Snap-On man. Quite often he ends up having to repo guys tool box who can't make the payments.

I told him I'd like a rolling cabinet and a top chest if he ever runs across a good deal. He laughed at me... He knew even a "good priced" snapon box will be very much so out of my budget.

look for lista's on craigslist, they can usually be had for pretty cheap...theres nothing to them, each drawer only uses 2 roller bearings per slide, they are super simple, almost impossible to wear em out!

I have been sorting through my excess tools to find items to sell. Yesterday's task was to pick through a box of Allen wrenches to see what I had and if I could build any sets. This required me to look at each one to determine the brand.

I was surprised to find 3 Snap-Ons in the lot. All had a bright finish and honestly looked more like a throw away tool than a quality item.

This thread has me motivated to go through Lisa's grandpas tool box that I have in the barn. He was a mechanic all his life for the bus garage, he's got a pile of them.
