There's a tool truck comes around the shop, he sells gearwrench among others. They have a few BOGO things every month. I like the stuff for the price. I know it's made in Taiwan but they stand behind the warranty.

I got a set of their six point combination wrenches up to 1" for 30 some dollars on sale

who is he,,i don't recognize that name at all.......I dont like,, people yapping lies,, snap on tools are all American made..their blue point line,,not so much...or is he,,a reincarnation, of the illustrious 999999999999??
if you browse the Garage journal it is the opinion of the majority of people that turn wrenches for a living that Snap on makes the best ratchet. I went as far as calling them to confirm that they are in fact made here . They are made in Tennessee.

The majority of people have never even heard of Armstrong...most automotive mechanics only consider snap on, mac, matco, etc. As competeors...most are brainwashed into believing that if it ain't snap on its *s-word!
I'm not saying their tools aren't good, I'm just saying that they charge retarded amounts of money for their stuff...
That Armstrong MAXX ratchet that wildroamer posted has an msrp of $125 but sells for about half...comparable snap on has an msrp of about $150 and it probably costs damn close to that!

Then there's the toolboxes...10+ grand for a decent sized box, does it come with a midget that hands me tools? Nope! But it does have a sweet paint job...which is basically what your paying for, because they're just for show!

There is also one big reason to use Snap-On. When the general public walks in your shop and see's that big Snap-on box they rightly or not are impressed.
