So I'm trying to decide on which to port. I dont cut a ton of wood, just occasionally. But I like more power! My MS361 wears a 20 and the MS660 wears a 28. Throw another wrench in, guy has an MS440 in great shape for cheap- he upgraded to a 461. So buy it and make a hybrid? Eventually they all will be, but what will make for the best all around?

Best all around would be the hybrid in my humble opinion.....but even a 660 can be a firewood saw. lol

Go big or go home. Port the 660 and work ur way down.

I would get the 440 regardless of what you port first, they are great ported as is, and even more gooder when made a hybrid by CFB. I would recommend running it to get the feel and compare to your other two and see which one needs a boost more in your opinion(the only one that counts) than the other two, then make your decision.

Although I've never owned one I have ran a 440 .I liked it .The guy that owned it suffered a theft of most of his saws and replaced it with a 441 which certainly wasn't the saw it replaced .For that matter the 660 that replaced his stolen 066 wasn't nearly the saw either .

Thanks for all the input! I pulled the trigger on the 440, one owner, occasional use saw. Now to gather funds and get it built. I'm thinking ported 460 P&C, 3/4 wrap and 24" light bar. Who will be the best to build the beast?

I like my @Canadian farm boy Hybrid of this type. He does an excellent job with these, tailored to your usage, I highly recommend!
