On the oiling , watch you don't get heavy bar oil , it's no good not even in the summer .There is stuff out there that is crap .
All oilers seem to work a lot better on the thinner stuff . If you're not happy with how your bar is getting oiled try something different .

I liked the motion lotion from Baileys but was expensive to ship.

Jason gave me a jug of some good Bar oil but I can't remember the name

I've been wanting to try a 20" .404 on my 660 for cutting firewood. Does anyone think the bearings on a 70cc saw might not like the .404? I've heard it's rough on bottom end, but maybe that's more of an issue only on longer bars.

It depends how you sharpen chain and set rakers, I bet with a smooth cutting square chain it's not an issue.

I was thinking the same thing. Rakers are usually a bit low. Round file it 3 or 4 times as needed, then convert it to square and she'll smooth out and sing with rakers at .020"

Where did you get the bar? I've been thinking of either a hard nose or buying a forester single rivet and installing an Oregon .404 tip, which I have in stock.

Unless someone has a bar without a tip that'll take an Oregon tip. In d025, .063, 20". Kind of a tall order, I know.

I didn't watch J's vid, as I'm low on data for another week, but I think LCS had a bunch of bars on sale. They might be sold out now though
