I have a nice running 044 hybrid here and a 28 and 32" 404 bars.
Want to see it in hardwood?
I run full skip and almost no hook on my sideplate ,it keeps the rpms up in anything in my area good with that setup ,once the cedar or fir is down ,the hybrid is like a light saber bucking the limbs off .Works real well ,and does not weigh a lot .
Am curious how the same setup works in your area ,

I don't care what they say. If I have my 25" buried the chain is very dry at the end of cuts. I couldn't imagine a 28" on it. Same with the 441
My stihl ms 41 rcm That I added a 3/4 wrap to will oil or atleast keep the bar cooler with the 28 with .063 guage and will make a 20 really hot with .050 guage

I don't have any 404 skip so 32" full comp is what it's getting.
The chain is pretty mean but I'll cram it in the ground first.

I may just need to try a .063 gauge bar and chain
When i was milling with a 28 inch bar and .050 ,i had to run an aux oiler because the bar was getting real hot ,when i went to .063 and .404 ,i can run without the aux oiler and a 32 inch bar and it runs cool still .
