Nothin like a little head at 2am.
Yup. The first 064 was a KS. I don’t have any good before porting pics of that jug to compare with the mahle jug. I’ll take a look tonight, I think I have a KS jug for my 064 squirreled away that I can compare. That’s interesting, I believe the last one had a KS jug. Much noticeable difference in the two? Going to be cool to run them side by side and see how they compare!
My 064 with a mahle jug isn’t very high compression. Maybe 160- 165 ish psi with gasket deleted and I think .030 squish. Runs like a animal though. Is it just me or is that chamber enormous.
The chamber does appear larger compared to a KS 064 jug. The mahle jug had a tapered squish band. I’d like to of cut the squish band further but because of the the thin cylinder base I couldn’t safely cut it much more.I see it now on the big screen and maybe it is just the shadow.
That is actually a KS branded cylinder sir, you can tell by the KS insignia on the base below the stihl logo.Combustion chamber of a Stihl branded cylinder for the 064 if that clears up some confusion.View attachment 215754 View attachment 215755

Be nice now...Stihl just likes to put there logo on everything oem even if they didn’t make it themselves. You see it on the carburetors too.
