Old faithful HP DeskJet 970Cxi printer started running out of magenta ink.
Out came the refill kit.


Gotta let the ink settle in the cartridge (has a sponge that holds the ink) and print a couple pages in color to counteract dripping of excess ink.

I have been dodging purchases of OEM cartridges for over 16 years now.
Sometimes refilling is a huge mess, sometimes the cartridge is not accepted back by the printer (in which case I utilize a remanufactured cartridge and start over with refilling cycles), sometimes everything works out perfectly fine.

Fingers crossed, today's refilling procedure seems to have worked at the first try.

Got my new SAE, Metric and Torx T handles mounted on the wall as well as making a spot for my new drill index. Very convenient for when I'm working on something on the bench.

I believe the Woodland Pro sold at Baileys is rebranded Carlton … they sometimes have good deals, especially on packs of 10.

The alternator for my 1998 Mazda 626 is about to go on the bench, 280k and never been touched. Ordered bearings, regulator, brushes, and slip ring. Hope that's all it will need.
