Finally getting back to the bench and making piles of MAN GLITTER! Feels so good:D
562 im doing a lil port work on this is the exhaust. Widened her out a lil, put in my famous monster dippty-do at the bottom(tons of meat on these cylinders) and polished her up. If anything the saw will be lighter!:D 2nd pic top left port and 3rd pic bottom left port is like that from the factory. Bottom was not touched. Kind of makes the rest look funky but i suppose the factory did it for a reason so it stayed. Edges r not chamfered yetimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

Stock gasket was about .0285. Got me some gasket material at .020 and went with it. These things r on the ragged edge for clearance. Just .08 has case issues. Need to make more glitter. FW side a trans cover bolt hits and PTO side trans cover hits. Got to tape off the hole and do a lil grinding. So squish is rite at .020. I can like that:thumbsup:image.jpgimage.jpg

Anybody ever think about removing or cutting down this part of the skirt for added flow? I know some other models thats kind of a go to mod to unleash some power. Never heard about it being done on a 562xp though, just wondering if it would net any gains or the added case volume would make the charge more lethargic?

Picked these two up a week or so ago. Got the 895 running pretty well....has the wrong throttle rod, but the makeshift one someone made, seems to work pretty well...just let’s the throttle return too far, killing the motor.
The 1-75 has been a different story. No spark...and taking the fuel cap off...the tank busted!! Lol. Never had a cap locked in this hard. Carb box did have a fair amount of corrosion...diaphragm was a stiffer than a teenager getting up in the morning too. 2FC7A30B-B9D1-4052-99AA-9143A28F1096.jpeg B43C4EAC-95F8-43D5-9C32-1ACF93B0F292.jpeg F8E89519-478E-4572-BC99-C8C65D3B9F54.jpeg

Not much today. I had a dentist appointment this morning then I'm making a dump run to get rid of a bunch of stuff from the shop and garage.

IDK Buddy, but the exhaust port roof looks wayyyyy flat to me. Be careful you don’t catch a ring.

Still playing 462.

This saw is a head scratcher for sure. Not much transfer tunnel area.

Definitely a “less is more” kinda saw. Not much room to do anything in the jug.

I’m figuring the multi-billion dollar company that pays German engineers 24/7 to create these beasts may know a drop more than some idiot with a lathe and a grinder in his garage.

It’s a “Wofo”, lol. That’s what I get for switching to Johnny Walker from my standard Dutch Mofo Fuel.

Chamber came a long way.

A few more pics of the 1-75 Mac...it’s amazing the stuff that can grow inside these tanks, while they’ve been sitting for years!! Can also see how corroded the threads were right around the cap. Tank is broken much more than the crack that started. After the crack in the tank developed, while trying to loosen the cap...I became much more aggressive. Lol

All those "little bits" do add up into something significant. :)

Side job for a buddy of mine servicing his outboard and assembled my new lift table that my parents got me for Christmas. Also starting to check out a couple of trimmers I was given over the summer that I'll likely repair and flip in the spring.
