I guess I don't have much patience! When I discovered the saw I ripped down yesterday had a Huztl piston in the Cross Cylinder (instead of a Cross Piston) I ordered a Meteor Piston for it. But I just can't wait for it, so today I ripped down my "Blue Beast" which had a OEM 066 Cylinder on a new Meteor Piston.
I re-ported the Cross Cylinder and glued it down over the Meteor Piston (the piston looked brand new, like it had never been run) (see the pic)!
When I get the new Meteor Piston I will install it, and the OEM 066 cylinder on my OEM 066 saw, and take the Cross P+C that is on that saw and install it on the Asian 660. Then I will have one all OEM (066) saw, except for the Meteor Piston, instead of everything mixed and matched.
I plan to re-port all the Cylinders, and hope they all run similar to the Flying Tiger I brought to the CT GTG. Then, I will probably keep a couple and move a couple along. I currently have 2 066s and 5 MS660 clones (including my Big Bore MS710). It is fun to play, but it is just too many.
I took some pics of the ported cylinder, but they did not come out. I hope to finish modding and matching the muffler and get this thing running tomorrow (unless the weather is crap). Wish me luck!
