Cant believe a German let that slide.
The intake gasket?

Nah, that is a comparison shot of intake snout to carb outlet size.

The annoying part, that I can’t believe they let slide, was the annoying 5* of timing lip they left between the roof of the removable transfer roof and the jug inlet. I’d love to tell you the that transfer look great on this one, but they don’t.

Still nice to see something different getting worked on. Keep 'em coming.

The solo is almost back together. Need to open muff and play with the ignition timing next.

Factory numbers on this big 103cc Bastid were:

Squish .053
Compression 160 psi
Ex 102
Trans 120
Int 70

The cylinder extension is so precise that it will hit the case if the gasket is removed before the base seats.

I took the saw to:

20 out of band
15 off base
No gasket
99.5/118E-120I
78
Squish 22

What's the best replacement carb for an 044? Can't make this one idle/ tune worth a chit. An hour in the USC pulled Welch plugs etc.... no dice. I'm over it!!
