Another problem I noticed on 346s . If your gonna run a 359 carb, switch the boot also. The 346 boots have t he metal ring inside the boot, and when you put 359 carb and filter holder on it pushes against the boot and causes the metal ring to cut the boot. Causing an air leak. Should switch out the boot anyway because the 359 is bigger, but I've had a few people want the 346 boot on it. Or you Could switch out the metal ring for a plastic one.

Just remove the inner ring on the 346 boot. Gives alil more flow also:)

Nice! I'm always leary about sanding through the rubber. I wish I still worked at the plastics plant, I used to do prototype molding of just about any polymer.
So was I the first time. On the 350s I'll use the 350 filter holder. It needs a little trimming for the 359 choke butterfly to close. I match the inside diameter of the holder to the carb.
