I happen to be working on one of those as well. How do you change the seal in the oil pump? Do you remove the gear assembly? Do you trust the large oiler o-ring to seal, or put a little sealant around it for good measure? That is where I stopped last night...
Don't remove the gear. I put a little three bond on the o ring. Drive the seal out the front

How about changing the seal? Do you remove the oiler gear running across it? Drive it in from the back?

Do not remove gear, will tap out easy with punch, support pump good while doing this. With appropriate driver, drive new seal in backwards, leave a little lip showing. No sealer needed, but O ring should be renewed, a little grease here is OK. Also make sure small O ring is on pump, these get lost easily, replacement recommended, as well as pickup hose.

Speed Queen huh? I knew a few girls that liked the speed back in the day too.

Punny, very punny. In all seriousness though I highly recommend a Speed Queen over any other brand. Not only made in the U.S.A. but they are laundromat grade, over 80% of Speed Queens business is laundromats, so EVERYTHING they build has to be to that standard.
