Years since I measured one, but over 150psi I think they were on.
H=1, unmodified it's rare you get particularly higher than 14k with H=1, usually I end up somewhere around 3/4 turn.
I feel they clean nicely around 15.2K.
Interesting. I thought they turned much higher, stock. At least that’s what the specs sheets I’ve seen show. Almost as high on the 246 as well. That saw is still in a bin to be reassembled.

Specs are 15.5K, personally I feel they tune nice on 15.2K, 4 stroke, and i kinda like to be a tad on the safe side.

Now I’m trying to figure out why max rpms are so low…just under 13,7 @ 1 turn out each
Rebuilt carb, replacing fuel filter…might be fuel starved? Ring never seated? What should compression be?
They usually go up 10 lb after some use. Sometimes they'll get noticeably zippier just straightening out the curves and flattening bumps in all the ports, widening exhaust to the max. Can't remember where it was but @Ketchup shared some excellent thoughts on improving flow.

When Dozer Dan finished my 346xp (45cc) he sent a video of him noodling an oak round with it...at 18k, lol
He didn't recommend I ran it like that :p
It runs well at 15,2 or so

I know that some port other models to much higher rpm than the 242 originally has, originally I like a light 4 stroke, and now that I think about it I don't think I'm far off on the ported 242 either.

Well, tested after rebuilt carb actually runs worse, lol did something wrong.
I didn't have a complete kit so cleaned things up, new diaphragm and gasket but that was it.
I'll order a real kit and try again.
Oh, comp is 165+ cold
