Going to be a heated handle dolmar 7900 with a solo stroker crank. Putting it together with a 6400 cylinder for now before I wreck a 7900 cylinder.

Need to cut a little more out of the band still too tight even with 2 gaskets

My EA5000XS is bitefull too, especially on cold starts!
The stupid EasyStart doesn't help counter it either.
Which is not something Kevin can influence by the way.

Trying to stop the oil slick before it gets to the river.

When I fixed my 353, I tore her down cleaned the oil pickup rubber with alcohol to get all the oil off and then I put a thin coat of 1184 on the mating surfaces of the pump and the case and she hasn't leaked since. I did not buy new parts.

I really should have tried that first, but I got carried away. At any rate, there's no new oil on the diaper this morning!

Made some more progress on the heated handle saw got the band cut enough so squish was enough with 2 gaskets and put some more of it together. Got to make a spacer and put the oil pump stuff together and a few odds and ends and should be about done until I swap the top ends. To conserve hardware for my other builds made this one all out of allen head screws only factory hardware so far is the recoil, av mounts and top handle screws
