The 647G got OFF the bench, because it's too dang loud to run inside the shop. Was having trouble starting, thought the little check valve in the fuel inlet was bad since it was pushing pressure out the fuel cap... Turns out you just gotta put the carb together right the first time so that it can open the needle! Gave the chain a tune up and we'll get it in the wood this weekend hopefully. Definitely still loaded up on whatever oil the last guy had in it, she's a smoker.

Got the MS 250 back together, but it was missing the clutch drum, gonna have to wait till Monday to get one at the local dealer. Revisited the MS 270, have it running well and now need to revisit the 0 34 super.
Not sure how crazy I wanna go with this 064, but I end up getting an NOS tank. Saw runs well, made some cuts yesterday with it.IMG_2175.jpegIMG_2176.jpegIMG_2173.jpegIMG_2162.jpeg

The 026 was on the bench for adjusting the carb and to sharpen the chain. There's a raker missing. I got proper hardware to mount the dogs on it. I installed a new fuel line and filter on the pm5700 after cleaning the very dirty gas tank. I also installed a new used yellow recoil and new mounting bolts. It runs! The gas cap should be here within the next couple days and then I can get it in some wood. Didn't test the oiler yet. 1000001280.jpg

At long last, a fully assembled, running Sears lightweight. Need to grab a couple bar nuts the next time I'm out and about but other than that she's ready to hit the woods.

Wasn't without a little drama though. I knew better than to stray from rope to tighten that clutch but I did it anyway and got to go fishing.

The 030av was the first saw I bought where I paid good money for back in the early 80's. I still own a nice one.
If you plan to make that one a runner, confirm that the flywheel is from an 031ave (electronic ignition) if you plan to re-use that chip.
These saws will run with a chip, but will be out of time and run sluggish if using a points flywheel. A pic of the one I own now.251129-e701b4b4d9d3717efe77ce8736242da0.jpg251130-39750de44cab69f56d7169aa7cfefdec.jpg251131-12eebee61af2372c8bec5f636075c350.jpg
