Thanks Ronie! This one went in house, already sold ya i have to have a few discs shaved off so they quit pushing on the nerves to my legs. Sounds like a fairly non invasive surgery listening to the surgeon yesterday. Im sure he made it sound a lot less in depth than what it actually is. Ill bet we could get it done with a few fellas on this thread , a fordom and a bottle of whiskey.

Well so much for porting my ice auger.....
F-ing thing wouldn't start so I went through the fuel system, checked spark and whatnot, still wouldn't start so I checked compression and it has 107 psi. Shoot! So I checked out the intake and exhaust and it's scored pretty good, I have always ran premium fuel with good oil but it's 20 years old and drilled lots of holes. Pressure/vac test showed the decomp leaking badly, damn things. Pistons are NLA for my auger but good thing I have a brand new auger in the garage I bought last year!

I've always thought about doing this! but always remind myself that the gear drive on it probably isn't even rated for the hp a stock auger puts out let alone giving something fairly moderate gains.
I also always wonder if when fishing at a community hole, and someone comes out with a ridiculous loud auger if they muff modded it or it's just old and rotten. Typically by the way they cut, old and rotted out.

I found the full wrap on my 372 was a real noodle blocker compared to my half wrap ones. Does the wider clutch cover make up for this any do you know?

It may but the wrap will still block the noodles from flying out.

New project MS440, I think I know what killed it. It's going to need new bearings but at least the crank and cylinder seems like they are in good shape, except for a little scaring below the intake.

Puked the crank bearing and scattered the top end.

Blew 10yrs of dust off this fellow.
I cleaned the carb and fuel system about ten years ago...
Belongs to a neighbor, sad story behind it Starts and runs now but should have fuel line for sure and probably a kit in the carb to be "woods ready!"

Got a buddy's dolmar ps6400 on the bench. After a bit of back and forth about how I have a boat anchor already and its extra for the cleaning service. He convinced me to port it for him, any advice or direction on where I should go with it would be appreciated. From what I'm reading there are a few big bore options and an unlimited coil? If I end up using the factory cylinder, am I aiming for numbers closer to a 036/034 or 044?
