YuppersMS500i ?
I had a 1980 CJ7 with a 258 in it. It got a Comp cam, blackjack headers, and Offy manifold, ported heads and a 390 Holley 4 barrel. It went surprisingly well.Going 600 Holley my jeep is a 1987 and was pre fuel injection, motor is a 4.0 from 1995, it has the better casting head, had LS1 valves put in and 5.9 liter valve springs from mopar performance, my jeep has the 4.2 in it rated at 110hp
Yeah it helps shoe the age, this is a pre pro model 036. It's helpful on some saws like old 044's red lever USUALLY means 10mm wrist pin but not alwaysWhat’s the deal with the color of the lever?
Red works better?
42mm 346 pulling it apart and cleaning it up. I'm going to put on the new clamp and bgd delete.

Base Gasket Delete. It’s when the cylinder is installed without a base gasket as to tighten up the piston to head squish clearance. A sealant like dirko, yamabond or the like is used to seal the cylinder base to the crankcase instead of the gasketWhat is a bdg delete?
Put a socket over the bolt head and smack it with a hammer a few times...Honda GC160 on a pressure washer that was overspeeding. I think that the last person to work on it really had no idea of what they were doing. Found carb to block spacer installed incorrectly not allowing throttle plate full range of motion. Carb is swimming and I have a new spacer/insulator on the way along with new intake gaskets.
Worked on pulling the head off on the generator with the suspected dropped exhaust valve seat but the head bolts gave me grief...gonna bring my turbo sockets home and give the last head bolt a try as the head started to strip on me.![]()

I'll definitely try that tomorrow. I was starting to get frustrated so I walked away from it for the night. It took a 2 foot long 1/2 drive breaker bar to get the other ones broken free then my 1/2 drive DeWalt cordless impact got them outPut a socket over the bolt head and smack it with a hammer a few times...
The "shock waves" can loosen the dis-similar metal corrosion that is likely acting as super strength loctite.

Understand that all too well....I'll definitely try that tomorrow. I was starting to get frustrated so I walked away from it for the night. It took a 2 foot long 1/2 drive breaker bar to get the other ones broken free then my 1/2 drive DeWalt cordless impact got them out

I'm going to bring my turbo sockets home from work as well. The head of the bolt is buggered and any amount of torque applied the socket cams out and slips.Understand that all too well....
I've had good luck with smacking the end of the breaker bar while applying a "little twist" as well...

Yes the "barbaric" hand held impacts work exceptionally well. Holds the twisting torque as the "shock wave" is applied.Try the turbo socket with a hand impact driver and hammer.
They tend to work better than an impact gun at breaking loose the corroded bolt with less chance of wringing it off.
I used the hand impact on 1970s era Japanese motorcycle bolts and saltwater outboards.
Lots of rust buster, liquid wrench etc. and soak overnight before trying to break loose the offending bolts.
I’m thinking base gasket delete delete
