I'm going to bring my turbo sockets home from work as well. The head of the bolt is buggered and any amount of torque applied the socket cams out and slips.

You could also cut the head of the bolt off.

Turbo sockets for the win! Head bolt came right out. Head isn't as bad as I thought. Shined a light at the exhaust valve and I saw light between the valve and seat. I'm thinking a valve job, valve adjustment and new top end gasket kit and new head bolts will have her going. Going to have a local machine shop check out the head per the recommendation of @Onan18. Cylinder wall still has crosshatch marks.

Briggs Intek 23 went back together, got the valves adjusted and test started. Gonna recheck the valve clearances tomorrow, toss the blower housing back on, and give her a test mow.

This is the chain for the Mall 11 I posted a short while back. Metal Rescue was the only thing I found at Menards so I decided to give it a try.

The solution was water clear yesterday and I was skeptical about how it would work. I looked at it tonight when I was between other tasks and found this...try to disregard the reflection of the cord and hose reels hanging from the ceiling above.

When I tipped it a little to see the chain links they looked so much better, seem to be getting a bit of a dark stain as well. I think this is going to work out pretty well.

I was once active on a forum that dealt with antique Caterpillar tractors .One member from Australia would go to the fruit market and get spoiled citrus fruit by the boat load .Toss them in a big tub of some sort and let them ferment and stirred them with a canoe paddle .Then place an entire track from a smaller Caterpillar, like a D4 in and let pickle for a few weeks .The citric acid would devour the rust and free up the rusted track joints .

A couple desktop PC's.

One had the power supply fan die which caused the power supply to fry.
Tried to replace it with a known good one, PC still won't run.
The power supply may have taken the motherboard out as it went out to pastures.
I have no compatible MBO to swap over, this PC may go down the road for parts.

Second desktop PC came to me with erratic Windows Bluescreens.
It is the first time I have it to look over, found several issues.
The motherboard requires a 24 pin power supply, a 20 pin is utilized - the MBO may not be getting all the electricity it needs.
The hard drive has bad sectors, it is a Seagate. I own 5 Seagate HDDs, 3 have bad sectors and cause system hangs, 1 will not register to the MBO at all - it is safe to say that this drive is toast (or at least can no longer be used as a system disk).
CPU was overheating, fan was running at 100% all the time. Some dry grey goo was utilized between the CPU and the heatsink, I replaced it with Silver grease thermal paste. I bet the CPU feels better now, it's an AMD.
This PC is functional as of today evening.

Messing with these PCs reminded me why I stopped doing crap jobs like these, they are a huge waste of time.

Blower housing and hood back on and test mowed with. Before firing it up I double checked the valves on both cylinders and tweaked as needed to get .005 clearance. Big thanks to @Onan18 for his advice!

Nice Kevin. Certainly breathes well...
What are your impressions?
Breathes great through its MaxFlow

Feels like my 044 weight and handling wise, pulls better than any stock 90cc.

Thats RS on a 25” with an 8 tooth, and I couldn’t stuff it, even on dogs. It only has 4 cuts on it so it’s really gotta get broken in. It’s only going to get stronger and I still might raise the exhaust to 104

Quick video of the Briggs I repaired. Forgot to mention that I also did a leakdown test on cylinder 2 which only indicated 2-3% leakage.

A good dog is worth it's weight in gold! It scares me that our Lucy is starting to get old and not as alert as she once was (and Linus only seems to protect when Lucy tells him to).

Although I have not been personally victimized, about a mile or two from here 3 cars were recently stolen by some kids from CT (they caught one of them). It is very troubling to me that civilization seems to be in decline. When I grew up we never thought of having to lock your car in front of your house, and we didn't even lock the house when we left for a while. Of course, I had a very good dog then also.

Hope you are not victimized further, it sucks!
