My 346 conversion. Finally figured that it STILL has an air leak after the updated intake boot/clamp/partition wall. Grr.. hopefully will get it sorted before the GTG. Gonna just toss a new base gasket on it with a lil bit of Permatex #2 and see what happens before I pull it apart deeper for crank seals.

Jonsered 630.

Intake block is loose....moves 1/8" back and forth. Still has 175 psi comp?????

Wouldnt go to full throttle....linkage upside down.

E clip on the stop switch ?

I think the choke lever is wrong ...seemed to work but be in backwards. 272xp choke lever.

Paracord broken starter cord.

Hmmm...what else.

He was on the fence for about 15 minutes, but in the end he decided to put a used tank and crank on it and have it ported. In the end it’ll be about half the price of a new 395

I'd of done the same. I'm looking for a carcass to harvest parts from for a build.

@David Young I didn't have to. When I was dry fitting the jug it went right on with no clearance issues. Looked at it last night and it's definitely a base gasket leak. I shortened the cylinder bolts too. Base gasket looks wet and was making a "squishy" noise last night as I was pulling it over slowly. Have a new stens gasket coming and will seal it up with some Permatex #2 as well as putting it on the bolts.

Pulled it apart and found leaky gasket. Cleaned/oiled everything as needed. Decided to clearance the case on the PTO side even though it wasn't an issue but the jug did seem awful close to the case so now it won't be. Gonna skim coat the gasket and bolts with sealer, put it together and pray!

I've seen them clear and some that need material removed. Seems that the 340&345 are slightly different than the 350. They clear more often than the 350. But I always check for room with a piece of card stock. Just something to keep in mind.

Ptex #2 is a oldie and a good one. Ptex high tac and perfect seal #4 (peanut butter in the omc/brp world) are also good options for those bases. Now if it's the case halfs well that needs dirko or moto seal. You can use 3M weather strip adhesive (monky snot) but you will be hating life if you ever need to get it apart again! Hahahaha

Good luck Will! Get er done
