Have a pressure washer to fix this evening too. Suspect clogged main jet in the carb.

I work for the county with parks and recreation as a crew lead. I recently accepted a job as mechanic. It’s our first full time,this is 100% your job deal. What tools would y’all recommend to work on zero turns,out front mowers;weedeaters and blowers as well as bunker rakes/field rakes and some light tractor,skid steer and excavators?

I have a box picked out as well as a lift, with turf attachment.

Obviously a decent socket and wrench set, hammers, crescents, screwdrivers and channel locks.

Anything I’m overlooking?

I suspect that it'll become very apparent once you start tearing into stuff.
I use a 1/4 cordless impact pretty much all the time for teardowns. Depending on how deep you plan to go... ring compressor, feeler gauges, micrometer, verniers, various pullers, oxy acetylene torches, welder, drill press, shop press....the list goes on and on.

This came in with air leak type symptoms. So far I've found nothing that points that direction. Ordered stuff to block off the intake for a leak down test and new rubber bits. Kinda thinking it's an autotune problem.... we'll see.

I thought about ordering the diagnostic tool but I'm not sure if it includes everything needed to reset/program. Dealer support around here sucks.

The Common Service Tool is relatively inexpensive. $180 ish IIRC. In order to download the software to run it on your computer, you’ll have to be logged in to the dealer website. If you can pull that off you’re good to go. No need to be logged in to run it after that, until there is a software update for the CST.
