A tidy 2015 model 395. Big end had gone for some reason and had taken out the piston. Cylinder was still good. Picked it up for approx $300 and with a good secondhand crank, new mains and seals and a Meteor it's nearly ready to go. Just need to cut an extra hole in the muffler and install a 288 deflector using nutserts.

Clean up and touch up on my 2 regular users. Scored a trailer load of free white cedar, ash and oak from a buddy who is moving. Unloading the trailer after work tomorrow and this weekend I'm getting the rest of the wood from him along with some pine from a vacant house...

A dinosaur! 051AVE. Was looking for why the last time I used it it lost power and wouldn't idle. Found loose intake block! So luckily with a couple of new gaskets and a carb kit she'll be roaring again!

Talking about 1111 series dinosaurs with loose stuff I just had one worse. This is an 076, I'm very surprised it had got this far. The cylinder gasket is completely disintegrated and the cylinder has worn an impression in the crankcase! The following pic shows how the cylinder studs were when I dismantled it. Interesting thing is the KS cylinder and piston is still in perfect condition!

Weedeater hedge trimmer that is getting a carb kit. After work today I also unloaded my trailer, marked the wood that's going to my dad at 15". Setup my sound system for tunes while unloading. Getting another load tomorrow and will cut everything up this weekend. Made a loop of starter rope for hanging my Spencer tape on my belt loop.

All back together, running and adjusted! High speed was too lean and the low speed was too rich. Idle is around 2400 and wot is right around 10000. Sounds good. I'll recommend that he uses TruFuel since he doesn't use it much and the metering diaphragm reflected that as it was as stiff as a board.

My brother and I put together this homemade right angle porting tool (we po' folk).... The bit goes on top, the bottom shaft connects to your dremel (the tape there just keeps the bearing race in as it was a little looser than the top one). The bit is held in place by a set screw (protruding length can be adjusted). There is an o-ring down inside the body that turns things....My brother has a metal lathe and turned the mini internal pulley parts.... Initial testing is promising... What do you guys think? (The bit in it was just for testing. I'm going to order some proper carbide bits.)
