TS 400..
I hate cut off saws...
Was told it wouldn't shut off, actually it would not start or run without some go juice force feeding.
The usual water and trash in fuel, kill wires broken and worn through, carb diaphragms stiff, air filters somewhere under layers of rock dust etc, etc...
You all know the drill.
Cleaned and kitted carb, inspected fuel and impulse lines, new filters ( fuel and all air), new plug fresh fuel....
Won't idle and bogs while trying to rev up, runs better with half choke. Needs full choke and throttle locked to sputter, then half choke to get it going. It runs fine top end.
Passes vac test, my compression gauge bleeds down quickly but it hit 120+psi on a couple pulls, what am I missing here??
If the check valve in the carb was bad wouldn't that make it run rich low end not lean?

fetched my other compression tester it's 125
The "nozzle" check valve appears to be bad.

Just ran the 031 with 16" bar, LGX chain and 7 pin rim. Night and day difference between the 20" with RM and the 8 pin. Video will be up later in the saw video thread.
Just also received the new bar and chain for the 346 which will be going on this afternoon!

It has a 4 5 stamped on it
Air passes both ways through it so if it is a check valve it's not checking!!
Ipl's do not show it so not replaceable?

Very happy with how the 346 conversion did with new bar and chain. VersaCut bar and LPX chain.

Took pics of a couple I've decided to part with. The 024 sold very quickly to a buddy of mine, even though I listed it as powerhead only. I'm on the hunt for a 357/359 now. Did some cleaning as well.

It’s cold up here and I had some idle time. I was cleaning saws (I try to keep my equipment looking good) and this is a spare too cover I found. It matches the maxflo fairly good after rit dye. I still have the original. Might not be for everyone but it’s easily switched.

this is the way I crank them together with oem service tools, crankcase upside down. No need to check the position of the con rod doing it this way.

Exactly why I bought a new bar and chain for my 346. The bar and chain on it wasn't mine and I wanted the same bar and chain that was on it.
