I have a 67 Chevelle my Dad and I purchased together back in 2000-2001.
Working on cars every day has me beat down to where I have not touched it in 3 years or so, other than to move it out of my shop to my parents back garage so I had more room.
Ton of money and time into it. I just need to suck it up and finish it.
For a while, kids and money held it up.
Now, it's just money and motivation holding me back.

My Uncle has a 66 SS with an extremely healthy 454 (original owner grenaded the 396). Whenever I went home on leave he would ensure we went out cruising and for a couple beers.

Makes me miss my classic cars. I’ve built a couple but nothing that nice. My last one was a 74 Duster, 408 stroker/727/8 3/4 with 4.30s

Fugging nice!
My first car was a 75 Duster with a Slant 6 and a posi out back. Talk about gutless.

Heading back to work. Will see if my 6l85 trans parts showed up.
Torque conver ate itself. Pushed metal through everything.

Does it come with piston bumpers to stop valve float?

No idea, never had one of those 600 Hp V-6s apart! But the original GT-40s (Ford can't use the name any more, they sold it) had 427 Ford engines in them, and in the 1966 24 hours of Lemans the 3 entered finished 1,2 and 3 … embarrassing Ferrari!

If we are going into that price range, I am going Aston Martin.
Why?
Panty dropper.
That's why.

No better than the GT, IMO. The new GT (600 Hp Bi Turbo V-6) has also been a winner at the track.

I'm going to do a real time rebuild on a 660 for a local tree guy. Hans beat cancer less than a A year ago. when I saw him in February he was a shell of who we was. Somehow he was cleared to go back to work with feeding tubes still in his gut. I fixed up a couple of his saws that had been sitting so he could get back to work. He's a proud man who won't accept any form of charity. He brought me this saw yesterday afternoon. See kilt crankshaft thread. The clean donor crank case is his. I'm supplying a piston from my red light so he can finish a big job tomorrow. IMG_2885.JPGIMG_2886.JPGIMG_2887.JPGIMG_2888.JPG
