Locked up ms440 from a local tree service gets the Golden Horseshoe award. You couldn't get any luckier ingesting one of the screws holding the muffler to the cylinder. Must have fallen in after it stopped. View attachment 152884View attachment 152885View attachment 152886View attachment 152887
I’m not a fan of the design of screws being inside the muffler like this for this reason. I use loctite on em and check em after the first heat cycle! No problems after that.

Well … by that definition I have another 044, but I won't call it that cause the 044 crank is in a hybrid, and I still got the case halves!

If you said Crank P+C I would totally agree with ya (which is what I think the guys above did).

Or if you mount 044 jug and slug on a 440 chassis, its technically an 044 in my opinion...not that that matters much! Lol

...add to that crankshaft, flywheel and carbeltater's to the multitude of different cylinders made and it the mix and match can be endless to suit different needs.

How do you know the cases havent been split before you acquired it and another crank put in??? Huh,?? And what crank? An 044 possibly?? I just think 044 sounds sexier than 440...
