Plus won...looks like it needs a clutch? Pix are blurryDyin to see the Doc's vids of that Hybrid!
Yea i got a feeling that this will spank the 044 I built and it was and still is one saw I wish I never sold. LolNeed to see it in some wood. Likely, after break in, a lot of them like some more RPMs.
Some of them don't really feel strong in the cut till you lean them out a bit, but I know you want it a bit rich for break in.
Lol. That's funny!! I built a big bore ms440 last year it was OK but it just didn't get me all that excited I was hoping it would be as good as my 044 but it was lacking something so I sold that one without regret but the dang thing still runs.Hey, I recently sold a real nice low hour 440 that ran great, I'll just replace it with a Asian BB that runs a little stronger!
The big bore I used was a farmertec I did a little bit of port work on it but I didn't give it bridge ports or give it more compression witch maybe the reasons why it wasn't as strong as it could have been but who knows I may do a big bore on the next one but do it the right way. LolThey need port work to run right. With the New West BB kits I lowered the intake, installed bridge ports, (BB cylinders often have thinner transfers), and opened the exhaust a good amount. Also, moved the upper transfer openings to be in line with the lowers on the intake side (they were a bit short). It runs very well, and has decomp.
The NW BB jugs have nice D chamber combustion chambers. I like em!
Couldn’t pass them up for $10!
