I heard a old caller say he use to put 5 gal of mix thru his saw if I remember right it was a day but I might be wrong that's a lot of cutting
Even with a 395 or an 066 thats ALOT of cutting, heck might as well say that even with an 088 or 3120 ..............thats still a crapload of cutting every day. I wonder if its even possible.

We have HUGE oaks and maples around my area, and when I fell, buck, and cut everything on the entire tree, we usually have 2 big saws (90cc) and two small saws (50cc) going at the same time. We go through 2-3 gallons and it takes most of the day.

I’ve changed way more bad cranks on 1128 and 1122 than any other series of saws. Might be cause there’s more of them around here. Husky 385/390 would be a close 2nd.
They didn’t clean them good enough! I’ll take them 660’s if yuse don’t want them! LMAO :D

Lot of hardwood loggers like 28” and under bars usually I noticed.
Correct! Most loggers around here are geared towards production and use feller bunchers or processors and cut pulp wood. But there is a SELECT few that sill use saws and a bar length would be 24" max around here anyway.

I think using a 20” is like bringing a 22 to hunt bear but that’s me. I prefer a 28-34” unless the wood is real small and I’ll use a 24” for some of it. That’s in hardwoods here

Unfortunately, sounds like what I do to get some of those Asian saws working OK.

So that's where that trait comes from … I got 7 different nationalities in me!

I've got 3 or 4....mostly German, Irish and Scottish. Euro mutt pretty much!

The old faller that told me that used a 051 and I think a 075.

When I cut with my saws, I thoroughly clean them at the end of the day before putting them away. I use air and blow all chips and dust out and off the saw. But I am a bit over the edge. LOL
Nothing like a good running Stihl. [emoji106]
Every saw that comes in my shop is packed full of chips and dust durt and crap then when I give them back the owners always ask me why is there say so much lighter. Lol.
