Ran 2 tanks through it this evening. Gonna need a new clutch spring. Starting to come alive.

Also I don't care if you like husky, Stihl or echo. You should try a dolmar 421! I ran a tank through mine this evening. They cut stuff a 40cc saw shouldn't without a single complaint!

In the end it don't matter what anybody likes as long as you're happy that's all that matters.

If you said D70, I would agree. The 60 is good, but a 14 FF is no slouch.
Yea but I've worked on more of the 14s than the 60s just my experience around trucks my 60 under my highboy has a tun of miles on it but you would have to expect that from something that was built in 1975 and other than brake pads and gear oil that 60 has never been touched and it gets ponded on wheel hopping and all. Lol. Not say that there the best the 70 is the best but I'm not hauling the moon. Lol

When it really has to be strong … Ford 9" !!!
Just didn’t have the heart to put a Ford 9” under a Chevy. Plus a Strange S60 can take a ton of punishment and is Supposedly more efficient than a 9” to turn. Mind you, I own a Ford too.

Each axle has there strong and weak points! The dana 60/70 has the best possi in my opinion, if you get 35 spline axels in the hd Dana 60 its a great all around axle. The 14 bolt with the gov-loc is a joke/I ruined mine doing donuts! The axle itself is fantastic with bearing support for the pinion and side adjusters, the factory 35 spine axle shafts are stout so is the ring gear, the possi is no good! Lol there is aftermarket help for that. I have never had a 9” but you can buy anything you can imagine for one! Lol

Run what you brung or build what you want/need!
