I was dumb enough to get wrong fuel line, dunno, maybe I have to epoxy the tanks: (5,2mm would be perfect O.D)

Next to my bench at the shop, Oregon
Just finished up putting together one saw made from two. Customer bought 2 MS440s from an auction. One blown up and the other in good shape, but taken apart. Request was to make one good saw out of it. So I took the one that had a good piston and bearings and used the spare cylinder that came with the saw. Fresh head gasket and cranks seals, carb kit, fuel line, filter, and spark plug, and a Super good cleaning and she came right to life at the 2nd pull. Saw has a little air leak I need to fix, and I made a few test cuts and it does darn good.

Just got this gentleman finished and ready for the new owner. Should take delivery this week. Have a couple more 262's to go.

Dang, Dave where are getting all these projects from. No wonder I can't find anything on Craigslist or Iwanna, except for Poulans.

I also saw that one on ebay but it looks like it had more damage that Mike's! The repair might have added a half a pound to the saw!

My 266xpg lack serial tag, carb, top cover and start cover said it should be 1986 model, but I wanted to be sure so I pulled the top end again... crankshaft was made 86 week 49.

The few 262's I will build will be a mix of parts, like this one, uggly as hell also. This one will get an 87 carb, next one will get one 199 carb.

Jason, that is a very big statement! What size bar are you running on that saw?

Ha. The real question is am i making any money on them. Guess i should keep better records

You don't want to do that, you'll find a new hobby. I done it with my 394 and cry every time I look at it, but it does put a smile on my face wen I run it though.
