What is the better top end XT or XP?
If you had to buy one which one would you choose?

I can make them both really run, but the nod goes to the 50mm XP top end for me. I got a guy that has a bunch of new OEM XT top ends though, so I would not shy away from using one to save money.

You know it's Easter, you should be taking it easy Sir.

I hope you had a great day with your family.

We had a big Easter. Bunches of folks here........we hid 450 eggs. :)

Weekend is over and I am done with my 254's for now, left to do some plastic work on the middle one. I always wanted one 254....
I knew there was a reason why I bought all those 262's, I use those HDA 120 carbs on 254's.
All of them have got new bearings, seals, ring and carb kit, and so on.

From left, 254SG year 97, 1mm thin ring piston, psi 215. (gotta love those neat old 254 jugs)
In the middle, 254 XPG year 91, Mahle jug, later I will work to bring up compression a tad.
To the right, 254 XPG year 01, psi 190.

Since I am done with them, next to finish is my 133SG, and I want to build up 2x262, year 92 and year 95.
