I knew there couldnt be much wrong with that 660 I took on trade and sold for $150 at CR.
Guy just sent me video of it running. Put carb, fuel and impulse lines on it. Started 3rd pull he said.

Finally got my 041 FB back from the powder coater yesterday...... There isn’t a single bit of the case that isn’t coated. Literally. Even the inside of the oil pump housing. I was furious! I asked him why it was taped off as instructed: “Well, you see, I couldn’t remember what wasn’t supposed to coated after I sand blasted it. So, just to be safe I coated it all.”

Are you kidding me?!?!? How the hell am I supposed to remove the coating to assemble it??????

At least he used the correct colors.

Your powder guy sounds like he is a husqie man and was just wanting to make sure your boat anchor was going to be properly corrosion resistant and stuff.

Matching chair covers and a rustic mobile coffee table.
That there is an azz load of class!

I like it, the cart is cool.
Got an old one that needs a new bed and sides.
Put it with some 30yr. old rough cut pine 1 x 6 boards.

For me your idea will save me from throwing out the old cart.
Gotta have stuff laying around.

I am cleaning up my shop/bench all this week. Found 1 circlip.

No i am not a hoarder but i seem to collect stickers like the ones on top of ported saws.

Speaking of clamshells:

I was always dropping the engine ‘pan’ off when putting it into the chassis.[emoji35].

Latest was a MS310. So, I chucked the engine up in the bench vice upside down and slid the chassis into place over it. Made installing the bolts easy also. [emoji108]

Quick teaser pics:

Used the little homemade Dremel mill and cleaned up the mating surfaces, cleaned the bearing pockets out as much as I felt safe and pressed in the bearings (with a little loctite to be sure) assembled the case, assembled gas tank, pressed in seals (also with some loctite) got the oil pump installed.

Well, had 3 saws from a local tree guy on my bench after dinner. The 044 would not shut off (had to use choke), the 461 lost a muffler cover and needed a recoil rope, and the 660 is not running right.

Spend about 20 minutes picking compacted wood chips out of the 044 kill switch , and it works just fine now (I also lubed it up).

Had a spare muff cover from a 460 for the 461, drilled a couple of holes in it and installed it, then did the recoil rope.

Started to check out the 660, but lost daylight (I took my little bench out side). Compression feels VG (a relief), the air filter is filthy, the plug not too bad, but the screw thing on the end was loose. He insists the fuel is OK, and I trust him. I'm going to start with replacing the air filter, fuel filter and plug, and checking that the muffler screens are clear, and will go from there. I may dump the fuel just for good measure, a little water from condensation can play havoc.
