Check and make sure the pto bearing won't slip on by hand. I kept one to put together for me and the crank is undersized on that side[emoji54]

I had one Husky 238SG where the PTO's inner race was oversized, took me some time to figure it out. Luckily the early owner could tune a saw so the top end was in a decent shape.

Sorry, just don't have the time to bust cases apart and check cranks right now. Also, didn't know one of the cranks was bad, but knew the bearings/seals were not good.

I think I got a good crank in a case that was crushed, but will have to check it.

No worries Mike. They took my mom back to the hospital yesterday. I'm probably not going to have much free time till we get this situation resolved. Thanks for your thoughtfulness.

had a heap of 372 parts in a box so got hold of a heap of Chinese parts to build a cheap fun saw.
big bore kit, 064 Meteor piston, welded and turned .030 popup, 385 boot and 385 Tillitson carb, 288 filter neck and filter
Gutted the transfers for the open window piston.
I have no idea who it will run, if it will be awesome, average or a dog but how ever it turns out, it was fun

He also has 44" and 60". But he likes his 20" and 24" felling with 395's 394's 3120 too.

385 390 dont have enough grunt for him with even a 20" 24". How I got to buy the 385 off of him.

Just fired this for the first time after replacing a bunch of parts due to a fight with a skidder. Got it in a trade for a 394 and 372 along with five other saws and a little greenery.

Guy with 3120 picked up and dropped off a woods ported 2013 372XP x-torq. He said he has tried tuning it and cant get it to idle. Took to a dealer and they couldnt fix it either even after saying they did. So now I have my shot at it.
Whats cool is he said a non internet saw shop guy ported for $120. Now that is the kind of prices I was used to seeing through 2010. Will get pics later.

Stihl have the 041 on the bench... waiting on a carb kit.

Won't draw fuel so I bet the diaphragm and fuel pump flaps are stiff and useless. Old fuel line being torn definitely was why it stopped running a few years ago.

@Onan18 is helping me out with some parts. Amazyingly the intake side of the piston looks great. The cylinder cleaned up well. I’m glad Joe recently did a write up on this series. Tremendously helpful
