Guy with 3120 picked up and dropped off a woods ported 2013 372XP x-torq. He said he has tried tuning it and cant get it to idle. Took to a dealer and they couldnt fix it either even after saying they did. So now I have my shot at it.
Whats cool is he said a non internet saw shop guy ported for $120. Now that is the kind of prices I was used to seeing through 2010. Will get pics later.

I found 1 carb bolt really loose. 1 not real tight. Intake clamp around boot loose. Carb out of adjustment on L and I IMHO. Checked cylinder bolts and snugged as they moved hair not much.

Idles all day now.

Now to wait on a 394 he said is next.

Today it's a 455 that I am considering using for target practice. I have; went thru the carb with new parts and clean, new lines and bulb, checked for air leaks with starter fluid ( all good) pulled the first screen out of the vent for good air flow, stuck a mighty mac on the impulse and it vibrated back and forth when I pulled and it still starts runs and then dies after a bit. Put on a new aftermarket carb and it wouldn't even draw fuel up for some reason? Gave up and locked the shop.

Haha I just did that on Monday on my skidder except mine was broke. It's been a year of winch issues for me. I paid $400 I have a phone number if you want they will ship it to your door!

Havent ran one of these since they came out new. Was that like 10 years ago? But anyhow running 24" today full comp buried in the ash. I was impressed for 74cc. Also liked how quite it was in the cuts.
Only thing wrong was carb was loose and carb L and I out of tune.

Speaking of chains. Got 60" 44" 36" 28" chains in today to do.

It had a 16” and was running an 8 pin. Dall suggested that I try it and I really liked it. Lots of chain speed. I’ll try it with this set up and see.
