Fixed this for my friend he paid some azzhat over 100.00 to service it it did have a new stihl china zama old tygon that had collapsed in the tank and the original flocked fuel filter.
The guy had hi and low turned all the way in.
It's got new lines and fuel filter with a new breather assembly runs good now.
I just have to sharpen a badly sharpened chain and it's done.
Got a free 1930s-50s kelly axe for my trouble lol20170606_195149.jpg 20170606_184738.jpg 20170604_193339.jpg 20170603_140248.jpg

So this landscaper friend of mine complains that his little MS250 died, and that he really likes that saw, so I let him run my Dr Al ported 026 a bit.

So he brings the 250 to me to fix (has a burned piston) and asks me "if I can make it run like my 026"!!! Uhhh ... NOOOOO!!!!!

But I told him I would do a muff mod and timing advance, now to figure out how to thwart the carb limiter on that thing! If any one has experience with it, please let me know. They are different!

Drywall screw screwed into each limiter and pull with pliers

No, No, No, I have one of the Stihl limiter removal tools, but this little 250 carb is way different. I like "clicks" in place at wide open. I'll have to study it some and figure out how to mod it.

I still owe ya that other carb Mike. Haven't had time to rebuild it, but I can send up with the new kit.

I believe I have a WT215 for an 025 here if you need it. That's THE carb for the 025 IIRC. I can send up with your other carb.

Fixed up a mantis cultivator that had a honda GX-25....needed a new pirmer bulb on the carb. Put some vp fuel in it and it fired. Could probably use a carb kit...but it runs decent enough.

Something about those little Honda four strokes that the primer bulbs always go bad. I have a little Honda GX-35 on a powered wheelbarrow and the primer bulb gone bad twice now in two years. Otherwise it's a great little engine.

I like them, pretty good power....they seem to have a little issue with vapor lock though sometimes.
